NAHA Red continued their great early season run, winning the Nepean Wildcat Showcase in a very exciting final.

In the final against northern Ontario's North Bay, Red got off to a slow start, giving up a 0-2 lead by the beginning of the third period. After regrouping during the ice cut, the team came out focused, and dominated the third. They popped in the first goal when freshman Hannah Erickson burried a back post rebound, after lots of pressure from Red. Time was running out, Red pulled their goalie, and the buzzing began, they were all over North Bay, but time was running out. With 2.2 seconds left, after flury after flury, the puck sat loose and Bailey Wright hammered it home, 2-2 and OT!

After a scoreless 3 minute 4v4 and 3v3, it was time for a shoot out. Up for Red was Jenny Ryan who put in a beauty off a wicked deke, but she was matched with a goal from the North Bay player. 2nd pair of shooters saw Nina Rodgers getting the goal, and teammate Ashlynne Rando slamming the door on her opponent, advantage NAHA. Both goalies made saves on the third pair, and NAHA Red successfully defended their Championship at the Nepean Showcase for the 2nd year! Congrats to the girls!!!
