| NAHA opened the first period with a plan to possess
the puck and make the game fast, |
|
| both on entries into the zone, and when cycling
opportunities were presented. The line of |
| Britt Ammerman, Kayla Colang and Lindsay Mitchell
found success in that plan early, and |
| put NAHA up early. The second period saw a bit of a
let down in NAHA's intensity, but |
|
| continued to dominate in time of possession and
shots, although trading goals with |
|
| Berkshire in the period. The third period of the
Championship game saw NAHA open on |
|
| the power play after a nasty major to a Berkshire D
for a check into the goal post. NAHA |
|
| capitalized with two goals to put the game out of
reach, as they won the Cushing |
|
| Tournament for the second year in a row. Nikki Parks
was solid in the goal, showing |
|
| strong control of her rebounds as the NAHA D gave her
good looks at the puck. |
|
| Congratulations to Cushing Tournament MVP Mary
Restuccia, and NAHA representatives |
|
| on the All-Tournament Team, Lindsay Mitchell and
Candace Molle. |
