Typical Day

Typical Daily Schedule

7:15 - 8:15
Wake Up
All athletes are expected to be up and getting dressed and ready for the day.

7:15 - 8:15
Breakfast
All athletes must eat breakfast. A recommended balanced breakfast is provided and encouraged. Breakfast is served daily in the dining room.

8:3-noon
Athletic Time
All athletes participate in on ice practice/training, and also participate in the daily off ice training program supervised by our Strength & Conditioning coach. Team sessions including video analysis for both individuals and teams are presented regularly. Sports Psych and presentations by our Team Doctor round out the program.

Noon - 12:30
Lunch
A nutritious lunch is prepared daily by our chef. Athletes are expected to attend lunch in the dining room.

1:00-5:45
Classes and Academic Time
All athletes must use this time for academic purposes. Most of the time is taken up by classes but there are free periods. During that time athletes must use their time productively to do their academic work.

Dinner
Our chef prepares dinner for the athletes which includes at least 2 choices for the entree, garden or caesar salad, hot vegetables, and other sides.

6:00-6:30
Free Time /Chores
Students are responsible for helping keep the facility clean. Twice a week, time after dinner is allowed for assigned, rotating chores. 

6:30-8:00
Study Hall
This time is a quiet time in the dorm and is used by the athletes to finish any homework they did not finish during the academic period during the morning. Residential staff is available to help with homework. Twice weekly, the study hall is monitored.

8:00 - 10:300
Free Time
Though some students study past 8:00, this is officially free time for the students to socialize, watch their favorite tv show, practice their shooting in the shooting room, connect with home and friends as well as relax.

11:00
In Rooms/Quiet Time
Athletes are expected to be in their rooms quietly winding down and preparing for bed. Many will shut it down earlier than this, realizing that rest is necessary to avoid sickness, recover from the very active schedule and prepare for the activities ahead.
