WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?
If you are interested in exploring NAHA to help you reach your goals, the first step is to fill out and forward the application, recommendations, and transcript. You should also forward a game schedule, or off-season hockey activities you’ll be pursuing. There is no set timetable for admissions action. We make every effort to meet players and/or families, evaluate their athletic potential and get a chance to know each other. We are looking for motivated, goal oriented young women with strong athletic talent and abilities, but foremost we are looking for good people to be part of our NAHA family. Once we receive the paperwork it allows us to open a dialogue with both the player and family. We receive many requests for information, and applications to our program exceed our ability to accept players each year. Since our seasonal program is educationally unique. The academic packet will help your school understand what you want to do, and how our school works. Do not contact your school without our Academic Packet. We have never had a school decline to work with us or a student-athlete once they understand how we work. We must be very flexible since we work with so many different schools each year. Our Academic Package outlines the basics as far as communication, grading, handling credits for subjects, what we need from the schools-- everything they need to know to get started. It opens a dialogue between our Headmaster and your school representative (usually a guidance counselor, sometimes a principal), and professional educators who will work together should you attend NAHA. If you choose the full-year option, our school would function for you just as any prep-school. You would withdraw from your present school and enroll in NAHA as a full-time student.
If you have questions, please free to contact us. Information is constantly updated on our website as well. Should you be interested, we can also provide references--parents for your parents to talk to, and players for you to talk to. Thank you for considering NAHA as a path to reach your goals. |
