Showcase Info

Coaches are encouraged to distribute invitations to girls who fit the profile for the Showcase. Click here for more info for coaches.

North American Summer Showcase

Format: Individual registration only. All players will be split up into teams for the Showcase. Each team will consist of 9 forwards, 6 defense, 2 goalies. Teams will be coached by one of our college coaches, assisted by a college and/or Olympic athlete.

On ice: Fourour team training sessions; small games tournament. Round robin tournament (5 games guaranteed), including Championship and Consolation games. Goalie-specific sessions.

Off ice: Instructional sessions on Strength & Conditioning for the Female Hockey Player; The College Recruiting Process- myth and reality; A round-table discussion: College Coaches on Women's Hockey Today. Ample time is provided to tour area DI and DIII colleges.

Area Colleges : There are many colleges within easy driving distance. Many coaches will be on their campuses during this week as it is a great time to visit as part of your college decision process. You should call ahead to make appointments with coaches. Area Colleges: University of Vermont (5 min.), St. Michael's College (10 Min.), Middlebury College (45 min.), Plattsburgh State University (45 min.), Dartmouth College (1:30), New England College (1:30), RPI (3:00), St. Anselm College (2:15), St. Lawrence Univ. (2:45), University of New Hampshire (3:15), and Williams College (2:45).

Lodging: The Showcase secures special rates at hotels close to the arenas, and convenient to other area attractions. Group rates are not available on the chain's national website.   You must call the property directly.  Be sure to identify yourself with the code or info in the right column when making reservations.  The following properties are our "preferred" properties:

Area Activities: Located on the shores of Lake Champlain, Burlington has a lot to offer for the family, including enjoying the waterfront, downtown shopping on the open Church Street Marketplace, tours at Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, museums and more. Travel to Burlington by various modes: Burlington International Airport (BTV): 5 min. from hotel and rink. Montreal (Dorval-YUL): 1.5 hrs. Manchester (NH) International Airport (MHT): 2.5 hrs, Logan International Airport (BOS) 3.5 hours.  Bus transportation available to Burlington on Vermont Transit Lines/Greyhound.  Amtrak Station (EJJ) 10 min. from Burlington.

Registration: Players must check in 1 hr. before their first session. This enables staff to issue jerseys and distribute Showcase information.

Fees: Cost: $475. Payment must accompany your application which when processed indicates your acceptance. Players not accepted will have their checks returned. Those not paid in full by May 1 (unless there are still open slots) are subject to immediate replacement from the wait list, without recourse.
