2008 Elite Development Program
A 2-week Invitational Camp for top high school players
in the country seeking to be the best they can be.
August 3-15 , 2008
During this camp, NAHA will field two teams in the Magog Quebec 'Silver Seven' Tournament, always a great tournament. This tournament features top teams from across the Eastern US and Canada, and has become an annual stop on most DI College recruiting summer schedules.

What makes this NAHA program different?
No matter how good the instruction provided at a camp, it takes time and repetition to change a player—their skills as well as how they think and play the game. In this program, players are exposed to instruction over a longer period of time, in a more elite training environment allowing the committed athlete to make significant changes in how she plays, her skills and how she ‘thinks the game’. She’s also playing with top players who can play the game at her level. |
Who is this program for?
We are extending invitations only to the top high school players in the country, based on our knowledge, recommendations and observations of hundreds of games each season. We want the best players to be here to help each other become better!
We strongly believe that summers are for player development, and seek to maximize each player’s development and ice time. In addition we will provide competitive games that exceed any other summer hockey experience.

Players are challenged and taught using—
Overspeed Training: We stress Working out of your Comfort Zone, with and without the puck.
On-ice Skill Development: High speed and intensity, small area and short duration activities to increase each player’s individual skills.
Off-ice skills sessions: Increase stickhandling and puck possession skills in our unique skill development program.
Strength Program: Hockey specific program to increase speed, quickness, agility and power. Players leave with an individualized and comprehensive understanding of what they need to do, and when they need to do it.
On-ice ‘Thinking the Game’ Program: Use of small games and activities incorporating concepts of support, transition, puck possession, puck support and playing the Team Game to increase game sense, improve recognition and read the visual cues in the game to develop and increase game sense. We believe in a training philosophy that emphasizes training at high intensity in small areas for short duration to dramatically affect skill development.
