Elite 18U Development Camp : July 13-22, 2008
Location:
NAHA Campus, Stowe VT
High-Performance Camp for the Motivated Player looking to play College Hockey-
A camp that focuses on:
• Thinking The Game
• Making Plays
• Winning Offensive and Defensive Battles
• Creating and Scoring Goals

Why Choose NAHA Camps?
This camp is all about teaching the most important and usually least taught skill of all, 'Thinking the Game.' We have brought together three coaches that all believe 'You can teach hockey sense.'
Here's a partial list of some of the concepts we will focus on:
-Overspeed Training: with and without the puck, we stress working out of your comfort zone.
-Puck Possession: how and when to possess the puck and how to make good decisions.
-Puck Support: how to support the puck offensively and defensively.
-The Team Game: how puck support and using the width and depth of the ice benefits the team.

On-Ice Program:
The athletes' daily schedule includes 4 hours of ice time, including 1) general skill development session 2) position specific training (forward, defense, goalies), and the competitive and game play session where game sense development is stressed. The small games and the tactics learned will be reinforced with whole ice 4 v 4 games.
Goalies: Goalies will receive position specific training in addition to participation in the regular practices and scrimmages.
Off-
Ice Program:
- "Opportunities
in Hockey" Seminar conducted by Camp Staff
- Off ice Skills Development Program as used in the NAHA residential winter program
